I thought this was hilarious! I looked up to see the cat looking intently at a takeout menu on the floor. I had to take a pic of it:

It's Blog, Blog. It's big it's heavy, it's wood. It's Blog, Blog. It's better than bad, it's good! Monday, May 11, 2009Sunday, May 10, 2009Friday, May 1, 2009Night Elves are powerless against Swine Flu
In a matter of days, "Swine Flu," or the newly CDC rebranded, "H1N1 Virus" (are you pig farmers happy now?), has created a tizzy of panic, hysteria, and a media field-day.
Today I was reading a blog post about crazy events that affected the gaming world. It was quite a surprise to learn that, a few years ago, a plague hit...wait for it...World of Warcraft. Yes, World of Warcraft (WoW). Apparently, Blizzard created a new area in WoW that included a new boss. This boss was able to cast a spell called "Corrupted Blood," which was supposed to infect and cause damage to all players in the nearby vicinity. What's the harm in this, you ask? It seems Blizzard made a little bit of a boo-boo. They didn't realize that the players would stay infected and then take this infection back with them to their respective towns...which infected everyone there. As you can imagine, this infection turned into a plague as it was spread from player to player, and even across servers. Blizzard managed to contain the Corrupted Blood flu (which I'm going to rename to C1B1 to help any Corrupted Blood Farmers), and issued a cure shortly after. I guess every person is susceptible to a plague...even virtual ones. Pssst...hey, you! Yeah, you. Leave me a comment. I'd love to hear from you!
Monday, April 27, 2009Test your knowledge, and help feed the hungry.
A2 x A3 =
If you're like a lot of people, a math problem like this might make your brain melt into a muddled goo. Well, guess what - this is basic math (pre-algebra). Think back to your school days (some may have to think further than others) and it may all come rushing back to you. At this moment, your brain just got a tad bit more knowledgeable. Now doesn't that feel good? You know what else feels good? Eating. And some people can't. But you can help. "FreeRice" is a website that aims to help people who are hungry for food and your brain, which is hungry to learn. You are quizzed in subjects that cover Art, Chemistry, English, Geography, Foreign Languages, and Math. For each correct answer, 10 grains of rice is donated to the United Nations World Food Program. Now, I know you're thinking, 10 grains of rice doesn't seem like a lot. But remember that while you're playing, thousands of other people are playing at the same time. And together, you're making a difference. FreeRice has already generated enough rice to feed millions of people since they started in 2007. As such, a lot of people are getting a chance to eat that wouldn't have had the opportunity otherwise. And maybe, just maybe, that weird feeling in your head might just be you getting a little smarter. Give it a try! WARNING This game may make you smarter. It may improve your speaking, writing, thinking, grades, job performance... (By the way, A2 x A3 = A5) Sunday, April 26, 2009Blog Redesign
After quite a bit of work, I've redesigned the blog layout to make it much more functional and a little easier on the eyes.
Changes include:
My main motivation behind these changes were to change my attitude towards blogging. I tend to put off blogging if I'm not pleased with the blog's design. Yeah, aesthetics go a long way. Also, I'll be posting random, but elaborated stuff here that I may refer to in Twitter. Tweets are limited to 140 characters...so I intend to use my blog to "fill in the blanks." Hope you like it! Sunday, March 1, 2009Overworked.
Okay, so I've been sick the past few days - and had to call-in sick. I went back to work today (although, I probably should've stayed out another day) and proceeded to check my schedule. They changed my schedule - now I'm working all 7 days this week! What?! Yeah...that's ridiculous. Meanwhile, other people are struggling for hours. This isn't really fair to me or them - and I'm convinced that all the overtime and doubletime work I've been doing over the past few weeks contributed to me getting sick. Ugh.
Is having two days off really too much to ask?! My new MacBook
I'm writing this from my new Apple MacBook! Yeah! This is a pretty amazing laptop - and it's so much easier to use than Windows. No wonder all of my friends are switching from PCs to Macs. I may be giving up a bit of hardware customization...but in comparing the functionality - it's completely worth it. I highly recommend that everyone should go and get one today.
(I got mine for super cheap off of eBay) Thursday, February 26, 2009I'm sick.
Hey everyone!
Yeah, I'm a little under the weather right now - and I hate it. I'm taking medicine; they're good for a few hours, until they start to wear off. Then I'm right back where I was before - miserable. So here's hoping for a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Oh!! And I have to mention how great the Campbell's Creamy Tomato "Soup at Hand" is. It's really like liquid crack. I'm so addicted to this soup, it's not even funny! I normally don't like anything tomato-related, but this is amazing! If you haven't yet tried it, go out and get some! ![]() "It's mmm...mmm...good!" (And yes, I'm aware that the photo is reversed.)
Thursday, February 19, 2009La Nouba
So I saw Cirque Du Soleil's La Nouba...again. Yeah, this was like the 8th time! I can't help it - I love the show!
Anyway, when I saw it, there was a female performing the Aerial Silks act. Which makes me wonder what happened to the guy who normally performs it. They both were awesome, however, they both have very different acts. The guy uses his arms at fly on the silks, while the girl mainly used her legs. Again, either way, it was still spectacular, but it just threw me for a loop. Well, time to get ready for work! Later, y'all! Wednesday, February 11, 2009Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It!Wednesday, February 4, 2009Super Bowl Commercial
This commercial totally makes my day! This is, hands down, my favorite Super Bowl commercial this year...
Followed closely, by this one: Monday, February 2, 2009MiSiCi
So, in case you haven't heard, I'm learning the Emcee role for the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party at the Magic Kingdom as a sub. I just got home from our first rehearsal, and I must say that this will be an amazing show! It's not quite a parade, not quite a show, it's definitely...a street party. And a huge one at that!
The music, I'll admit, is really catchy and fun - despite it being Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana (not to be confused with Miley), and some other "Radio Disney" type songs. My role is almost like the DJ at the party - without a turntable. I basically make sure the party stays fun and exciting. The show opens sometime next weekend, I believe. So be sure to check it out if/when you're in the area! It's alive!!
Okay, I finally got around to finishing up my personal website (which you should be viewing if you're reading this). I must say that I'm rather proud of it. I added videos, a couple of pictures, and managed to integrate my blog into the rest of my site - which was not an easy task. Part of that was due to my stubborn attitude towards only using Blogger to blog. I've become partial to Blogger.com of the years, and feel that my blog is much safer managed by Blogger - which is now owned by Google. Regardless, until I figured out what method I was going to use to blog, I wasn't going to waste my time on blogging, mosty for fear that I might lose data trying to move stuff from one place to another.
Well, now I'm back. So if you want a peek into my life (although I don't know why anyone would), this is the open window. If you like it my site, let me know. Send me a message, or leave comments on my blog posts!
